We strive to respect your privacy and we try to limit our collection of personal information as needed to provide and improve our services to you, and we do not disclose your personal information to third parties unless we need to do so to fulfill your requests, you expressly tell us to, we believe we are reasonably compelled to do so, or we are required to by law.
What Information is Gathered
We collect information the information you give us when you register as a member of Kixtension, including a username, password, and email. We also collect information for use in kixtension player profiles. Along with information for user accounts and profiles, Kixtension also collects limited browser and computer information of users, which may include your browser type, operating system, IP address.
Member Emails
As a registered member, you must choose to receive our system emails. System emails are used to contact you in the event of changes to our services, terms of use or privacy policies. Kixtension may use URL tracking in the emails sent to you. When you open such email messages, our system may record the following data: the time you viewed the email and the URLs that you clicked on from that email. Kixtension may also record if your email program is capable of receiving HTML-encoded email. URL tracking may use cookies.
How Information is Used
We understand that you value your personally identifiable information. We generally use your personal information to render you services and to improve our services.
We may use your personal and registration information to: improve our services; troubleshoot problems; measure consumer interest in our products and services; inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, and updates; customize your experience; protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our User Agreement; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection and in this policy. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems, and in particular we may examine your personal information to identify users using multiple User IDs or aliases.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Kixtension will never sell your personally-identifiable informatioh such as your name, address, and email address to others.
There are some situations where we may need to disclose information to organizations or entities not described in our policy here. We may be required to disclose your personal information: (i) if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process (such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, etc.) or other legal requirements of any governmental authority; (ii) would potentially mitigate our liability in an actual or potential lawsuit; (iii) is otherwise necessary to protect our rights or property; or that of others (iv) is necessary to protect the interest of other users of our web site.
Merger or Sale of Kixtension
We may also transfer the information in our possession in connection with a sale of assets of the company, a sale of the company or a merger.
Notification of Changes
In the future, Kixtension may update and revise its privacy policy. At that time, you will have the opportunity to decide whether or not you would like Kixtension to apply the new privacy policy to your personal information or to opt out of the new policy. If you continue to use Kixtension, you will be accepting the new policies. If you decide to opt out of the new policy, you will no longer be able to participate as a member. The effective date of this policy is April 22, 2009.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and⁄or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online. The few employees who have access to personal data are trained to comply with the above privacy policy and made aware of any updates or modifications.
If we make any material changes in our privacy practices, we will post a prominent notice on our website notifying you and our other members of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also email you and other members who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices. However, if you have deleted/deactivated your account, then you will not be contacted, nor will your previously collected personal information be used in this new manner.
