What are Kixtension Points?

Kixtension Points is our way of recognizing and valuing our most-active contributors! You can score 3 kinds of points: Points, Assists, and Rebounds

Points Summary:
  • Add a review : +1 Assists
  • Add a comment : +1 Rebounds
  • Upvote for a Review : +1 Points

How do I earn Kixtension Points?

Points: Points can be scored two ways: Through Assists (writing a review) (+1 point), and having your review given points by another user (+1 point). There is no limit to how many points your review can score. Just like how basketball is a team game, scoring points is a lot easier with other people!

Assists: An Assist is a Product Review. For each review you write, you score +1 Assists. Thus, assists are the hardest points to score, as they take hard work and time. However, each Assist can score an unlimited amount of points! The more benefits other players obtain from your Assists, the more points you score when they reward you with points.
You may only score one Assist per Product, as only one Review is allowed per user per product.

Rebounds: You can earn points a variety of ways, but the easiest way to score a quick point is to add a rebound (a comment) to any product page. Every rebound posted scores +1 rebound.
There is no limit to how many rebounds you can earn, although excessive rebounding is frowned upon and players who intentionally pad their stats will be reprimanded and flagged.

What should I know before I write my review?

Before you write a review, please read our review guidelines.

Each shoe review requires a rating from 1-5, (5 being the best) for 5 criteria:

  • Comfort & Fit
  • Cushioning
  • Ankle Support
  • Traction
  • Quality
And two sizing questions:
  • Shoe length
  • Shoe width

It's highly recommended that the basketball product you are reviewing be worn and tested in a real basketball-playing environment. This includes pickup games, competitive play, and street play. Casual use and use in other sports should not be counted! Try to remember details about your experience that may help, such as type of court played on, how the cushioning and ankle support felt, how comfortable the shoe was, what the ventilation in the shoe was like, and how well the shoe's traction performed.

For Basketball Clothing and Equipment Reviews, there are three criteria:

  • Comfort & Fit (for Clothing) or Value (for Equipment)
  • Performance
  • Quality
Comfort and Fit refer to how comfortable the clothing feels and how well it fits. Value refers to how good of a value the equipment brings for the price. Performance is how well the product performs. Quality refers to how durable and well-made the product is.

Finally, it's helpful if readers know about what kind of baller you are and how often you play. Please make sure you fill out your player profile.
